Trim and functional, great for the heavy wetter for under clothing or on it’s own. This Diaper Cover is a great cost effective way to include or introduce wool into your cloth diaper routine.  They can be used over Pre-Folds, Flats, Fitteds or really any diaper.  Many use them over AIO’s, Pocket diapers and even disposables when they are having leak issues.  Best of all, try them for potty learning over undies.

Due to the amazing anti-microbial properties of wool, your Wool Diaper Cover can be air dried between uses and doesn’t need to be washed after each use like most covers.  Our natural wool fibers allow temperature regulating breathe-ability to reduce rashes and wick away moisture.

If you are having allergies, rashes, wet bedding in the morning and sleepless nights, wool may be the solution you have been searching for!

Machine wash on gentle with cold water and lay flat to dry.  Many use the same detergent as for other clothing.  Vinegar in the wash can help soften and keep your colours bright.  Air dry between uses, the antibacterial properties self-clean the urine.    Lanolize as needed, which many do not.

*Handmade in Alberta, Canada. Wool is dyed, cut, and hand sewn! BOLD colours may vary from photos in placements of colours*

*waist and thigh measurements should be smaller than those of your child for negative ease to have a nice fit.  Our wool is extremely stretchy and spans many months or even years of use.

WOOL TYPES as per Bumby:

"Our normal blend is called Fuzzy.  It is very soft and stretchy with a fluffy fuzzy soft nap, which feels squishy soft.  It does wash and wear well, and is nice and absorbent.  We have been using this type of wool for years.  Pros: super soft, super stretchy, nice hand feel, drapes well, machine washable  Cons: can pick up debris, can bag out with wear, can be shrunk if too warm water is used for washing or goes in the dryer, can thin at knees and crotch over the years

Hybrid Play, HP for short is the newest wool blend we received in April 2018.  The mill accidently knit the yarn a bit more tightly than our previous orders.  This made the wool felt/wash differently when undergoing the dyeing process.  The result gave a more sturdy wool blend.  We made samples and sent them to some long term customers to get feedback on the feel as well as fit.  The general consensus is that the wool feels more thick and less stretchy.  Many were concerned when they first used the new wool that it was too tight and looked smaller than the same garment in Fuzzy.  Then the story began the change once they used the garments.  The HP wool has a lot of stretch to it, but feels like it doesn’t.  It washes extremely well, and, although it retains it’s shape better than Fuzzy does with wear, it does stretch nicely to the body.  We decided that the patterns didn’t need to be altered to accommodate the new wool, but that some might need to block or help the wool stretch a bit at the beginning.  Blocking is done by washing the wool and stretching it out on a flat surface.  Some have used something to further stretch the wool like water bottles in the legs etc.  Pros: Doesn’t bag out with wear as much, more durable (less prone to thinning in knees and crotch), debris tends to fall right off such as dirt and leaves, washes amazingly well and softens with wash and wear, more absorbent than our other wool types  Cons: Isn’t as soft, feels more tense/tight in the beginning, requires a bit of breaking in

We have more wool on the way, which we intend to get as Fuzzy.  I have plans to physically fly down to the mill this time to oversee production and make sure it is made to specifications.  With that being said, many many customers love the “accidental” HP wool.  I have been requested to alternate the 2 styles of wool in the future.  We have had the largest volume of sales in history since the HP arrived.  Many that are expecting Fuzzy and get HP may be surprised with the difference, but will grow to like it."
