The Bug Bite Thing is an easy-to-use suction tool that quickly and effectively extracts insect poison from under the skin to eliminate the itching, stinging and swelling that occurs with bug bites and bee/wasp stings.

When you remove the irritant, the body stops producing the reaction that causes the itching and swelling.

Unlike topical creams and ointments, the problem is eliminated, not masked.

REVERSIBLE CAP

Flip the cap to reveal a smaller area of suction which can be used on places like fingers and toes.

SPLINTER REMOVAL

The suction can help bring splinters to the surface of the skin for easy removal (very convenient for children who may be afraid of using tweezers).

STINGER SCRAPER

The handles are specially designed to scrape out a bee stinger left in the skin. Never try to pull the stinger out, you may push more venom in the skin. Simply flick the stinger off with the scraper and immediately use the suction.

How does the Bug Bite Thing work?
Bug Bite Thing is a suction tool that removes insect saliva/venom from bug bites and stings. By removing the irritant, the body stops producing the reaction that causes the uncomfortable symptoms such as itching, swelling and pain.

What types of bites & stings does it work on?
Mosquitoes, Bees, Wasps, Ants, & other biting insects that leave an irritant just below the surface of the skin. It also works great at removing splinters, thorns and bee stingers. If you are having a severe reaction, seek medical attention immediately.

How quickly do I have to use the Bug Bite Thing after a bite or sting?
Best results are achieved when used as close to the “noticed” bite as possible. The longer the irritant stays in the body, the more time your body has a chance to react to it. That is why we always recommend keeping one handy – in your purse, glovebox, nightstand etc.

Why can't I get a good suction?
Test the tool on your inner palm to ensure the suction is functioning properly. If using over body hair, wet the area before you apply the tool. If the bite is in an awkward place, or if it is a smaller bite, reverse the end cap to use the smaller side of the suction.

How do I release the suction?
Press down on the handles to release the suction. The tool is designed to not allow anything to be pushed back into the skin. This will also prevent the cap from popping off and combat any marks that may be left if pulled straight off.

How do I know if it worked?
You can feel it working. The itching, swelling and discomfort will start to disappear while you are using it.

Where does the venom/saliva go once it is removed?
The venom/saliva is drawn into the removable end cap portion of the tool, which can be taken off and washed/sanitized between uses.

Is it safe for all ages?
Yes. Bug Bite Thing contains NO ingredients, so it is safe for everyone to use. Please note: You have complete control over the amount of suction/duration you use. Children or people with more sensitive skin require less suction to remove the irritant due to their thinner skin. *The tool contains small removable parts so it should only be used with adult supervision.

Can I use it on my face?
We do not recommend use of the tool on your face or neck as the risk from marks being left in these sensitive areas is greater.

Will the suction create a ‘hickey’ or mark?
You have complete control over the amount of suction. If marks are being left, too much suction/duration was used on that particular bite. Some areas have thinner skin, so they require less suction (how high you pull up on the handles) and duration (how long you hold in place). On more sensitive areas or if using on children, try using the tool at half strength or less for 5-10 seconds to start. You can always increase the strength/duration or repeat the process to achieve desired results. Less is more until you are familiar with the tool.

How many uses can you get out of Bug Bite Thing?
Bug Bite Thing is 100% reusable and never expires! We do recommend cleaning the removable cap with soapy water or an alcohol wipe between uses. Avoid getting the pump portion wet to prevent the tool from losing its suction ability.

Can Bug Bite Thing help pull out a bee stinger?
Yes! The handles are specially designed to scrape out a bee stinger left in the skin. Never try to pull the stinger out because you might push more venom into the skin. Simply flick the stinger off with the scraper and immediately use the suction to draw out the irritant.
